MR: Marathon MR1S Series

Intergrated Ratio Thermometer

Marathon Integrated Ratio Thermometers (MR1S) use two-colour measurement to provide superior accuracy in high temperature applications. These integrated units offer an advanced electro-optical design, smart digital electronics, and built-in user interface - all combined in a rugged compact housing. MR1S thermometers are ideal for situations where the target may be obstructed due to atmospheric smoke or other particulates where the target is moving, or smaller than the field-of-view.

Marathon Integrated Ratio Thermometers are distinguished by a unique Raytek feature called "Two colours. Two Ways." With this feature you can switch between two colour and one colour operation which simplifies setup and provides continued measurement flexibility. The second meaning of "Two colours. Two Ways" is bi-directional RS485 serial communications link between teh sensor on the factory floor and and a pc in the control room. This enables remote setup, monitoring, calibration, and maintenance - especially valuable when sensors are installed in hard-to-reach locations.

At the heart of all Marathon Series thermometers are high-speed digital signal processors (DSP). These processor chips support smart operations and allow downloading of propriety sensor and algorithms and upgrades, extending the performance of the sensor.
