BROAD-BASED BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT POLICY
R&C Instrumentation Have decided to follow the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act, in implementing BEE in our organization. We chose to follow the Codes of Good Practice as gazetted on 9th February 2007
Our turnover is above R 5 million and below R 35 million. The codes therefore define us as a QSE and we will follow the generic scorecard that requires us to comply with 5 of the 7 elements listed below.
We are planning on reaching a level 4 or 5 BEE status in 2011.
Our BEE policy is based on the seven pillars of empowerment and we intend making a meaningful contribution to each required pillar, in line with the targets.
- Ownership Equity
- Management
- Employment Equity
- Skills Development
- Preferential Procurement
- Enterprise Development
- Socio Economic Development
As the codes change we will be adjusting our target accordingly

QSE LETTER
11th May 2010
Dear Sir/Madam.
Re: - R&C Instrumentation BEE Status.
For the last year up until the end of April we have been issued with a level 4 BEE status due to our turnover level.
However because of the continued support of our customers and suppliers we have increased our turnover above the currently set level for a EME (Exempt Micro Enterprise) and now need to be assessed as a QSE (Qualifying Small Enterprise)
Staff at R&C Instrumentation have undergone BEE training with Econo BEE and EMET and are at present collecting all relevant information to develop our score card for assessment and to determine our correct BEE level.
Our target for completion and assessment of the generated score card is Early 2011.
We look forward to more business with our suppliers and customers, and should you have any queries do not hesitate to contact us.Yours Faithfully
R & C Instrumentation
